I will go unclothed if Kuami Eugene doesn’t win ‘Artist of the Year’ at 2019 VGMA – Mic Gizo


Multimedia Group Limited's journalist, Mic Gizo has tipped talented Highlife singer, Eugene Marfo affectionately called, Kuami Eugene to win the highly coveted award 'Artist of the Year ' at the 2019 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). 

According to him, should Charterhouse Ghana, organizers of the prestigious awards scheme fail to honour the "Wish Me Well" singer with the overall 'Artist of the Year' award he will embark on a n*k*d demonstration for such unfair decision.

The presenter of "What's Up In Town' segment on Hitz FM's flagship afternoon show "Cruise Control" told Merqury Quaye that having taken the year under review into consideration Kuami Eugene stand tall among his colleagues in the industry hence should win the award.

He stated emphatically that there is nothing which would let him change his mind.

"Kuami Eugene will win artist of the year next year. Mark it on the wall, Merqury make you mark am.  Ego take simple...Merqury Quaye paa if they don't take give him, I will stage a one man n*k*d demonstration. Ago make news. I will walk n*k*d from Multimedia here to Charterhouse office" He said

Kuami Eugene is one of the fastest rising Ghanaian Highlife singers who rose to fame as a participant in the MTN Hitmaker – Season 5.

He's signed unto Lynx Entertainment, a record label owned by music producer Richie Mensah, which has produced many great artistes in the country including Irene Logan, Asem,  Eazzy, KiDi, MzVee to mention a few.

The young talent recently won 'Most Promising African Artist' at Afrima and at the 2018 VGMA emerged winner of the 'Highlife Artist Of The Year' and 'New Artist Of The Year'.

Though it's not been long since he started professional singing he has got smash hit songs like 'Angela', 'Confession', 'Fadama Ninja', 'Wish Me Well', 'Walahi' among others.
