Showbiz Enthusiast, Nana Turkson Goes Home August 31


Family of late entertainment pundit Bertrand Nana Turkson has said their son would be laid to rest on Friday, August 31.

The news of his sudden demise was announced after he failed to respond to treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in Accra on Tuesday, August 7. The cause of his death though unconfirmed was said be diabetics. 

However, his funeral arrangement was announced during his one-week celebration as follows.

According to his family, there will be no wake-keeping for him but there will be a burial service at the St. Luke Anglican Church, Kwashieman, on August 31. That will be followed by a private burial the same day and then a thanksgiving service on Sunday, September 2 at the same venue. 

The one-week observation was held at the St. Luke Anglican Church on Tuesday and was attended by a number of media and showbiz personalities.

Among them were Socrates Sarfo, Bulldog, Mark Okraku Mantey, Andy Dosty and Ken Addy. 

Nana, born Bertrand Turkson, is an entertainment critic and author. The author of the ‘Success Journal’ is widely known for his depth of knowledge in the arts and showbiz, sense of humour and objectivity. 

He served as panel member on a lot of entertainment discussion programmes on radio and television, including Joy FM, Zylofon FM and a number of others. 

He also worked as a board member for several award schemes, including the Peoples’ Celebrity Awards.
