I wanted to 'remove' my stomach at Obengfo Hospital until - Mzbel


Singer Belinda Nana Akua Amoah better known as Mzbel has disclosed in a recent interview with Zion Felix on the Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show that plans were far ahead for her to undergo a vertical sleeve gastrectomy surgery at the infamous Advanced Body Sculpt Centre affectionately called Obengfo Hospital until the embattled medical practitioner Dr. Dominic Obeng Andoh's scandalous act popped up.

Vertical sleeve gastrectomy surgery is done to help with weight loss. The surgeon removes a large portion of your stomach. The new, smaller stomach is about the size of a banana. It limits the amount of food you can eat by making you feel full after eating small amounts of food.

According to her, she had already picked and filled forms in order for the surgery to begun cause she was tired of working out.

"I wanted to remove off my stomach cause I got tired working out. I would have cleared the fats off my belly. I went to pick a form and even started running tests"

However, she said barely a week for the surgery she read about how a patient had died in the hospital making her to reverse the decision.

"A week for the operation I heard one patient has died at his hospital. So I started walking out again" She said

"I was in the house when a friend, Paa Kwesi called asking if I have heard about the news of Dr. Obengfo "

The proud mother of one insisted that she would have gone for that surgery until the sadden incidence occurred.

"If not for Stacy's demise. I would have done it"

When host Zion Felix asked the cost involve in the Sleeve gastrectomy surgery per her enquires. The 'anti Christ' campaigner said

" They changed me Ghs70,000 though I pleaded and he said the machines for such surgery costs but I was willing to pay Ghs70,000 for it.

Background

The deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme (NEIP), Stacy Offei-Darko was reported to have passed away at the Obenfo Hospital in Accra on Monday, May 21, 2018.

However, the hospital authorities decided to deposit her body at the morgue four days after her death without informing her family members.

According to the family, the body of the deceased was deposited at the morgue within four hours after her death and was informed about the incident three days later.

This development infuriated the family and friends of the deceased leading to the arrest of Dr Obeng-Andoh.
