Acting like old men in movies is not done -- Abeiku Sagoe

Call is Gallywood, Kumawood or whatever the Ghana Movie Industry,  which sometime ago, used to give us excitement and numerous laughter is gradually collapsing as industry players keep playing the blame game when one asks the cause.

Well, veteran actor Abeiku Sagoe has bemoaned about the incessant usage of young characters to portray older men in Ghanaian movies in recent times.
Speaking in a conversation on Hitz FM's Day Break Hitz show with host Andy Dosty Friday August 24, 2018 monitored by Ghana's Most Authoritative News Website,, the movie actor who sounded bitter said there have to be reforms in our movies moving forward.

"Acting as old men in Nigeria films is not done. We must have a serious approach to whatever we do whether it's in the film,  medicine or health"

According to him, it's so uncultured for such things to be happening in our movie industry.
Responding to a question as to whether or not he's speaking out of bitterness.The one time Ghana Actors Guild presidential aspirant said.

  "It's not bitterness. I'm unhappy with how our movie industry is going. Being unhappy isn't anger"

"I think that we have not given it the seriousness it request.
Abeiku Sagoe is a veteran actor, a film critic and currently the Board Secretary of the Audiovisual Rights Society of Ghana (ARSOG)
