Patapaa 'Forced' Me To Record My 'Freedom' Song - Shatta Wale Discloses

Award - winning dancehall and reggae act,  Shatta Wale real name, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr has disclosed why he recorded his smash hit song Freedom.

The song described by critics as "senseless" and to some "creativity" because the 'Chop Kiss' hit maker was heard saying “Freedom” and “My name is Shatta Wale” only in the song.
Shatta Wale speaking in an interview with Jerry Justice on Adom FM's 'Offie Kwanso' show revealed that he recorded the single 'Freedom'  because Patapaa was making waves with his ‘One Corner’.  He further said that he initially wanted to give the song to the 'Swedru based' artiste but had a second thought.

"...Indeed Patapaa worried me a lot in 2017 with his only hit single. Let me confess today. He pushed me to record the Freedom song. I have earlier decided to give him the song but changed my plan. I am speaking the gospel truth God knows and that's how smart I am.

I asked God why didn't he bring the hit song to Accra but to Swedru."

"Communicate to Patapaa I love him so much" Shatta Wale told Jerry Justice
