Tragedy, Awful and Celebration that's how we at ghnewsfilla describe the year under review.
Well, the showbiz industry in Ghana this year recorded a number of stars passing away from comedian Bob Okala, Nkomode (Actor) George Forest (Sound engineer), Ebenezer Donkor (Katawere), Kofi Middleton (Actor) Daasebre Dwamena (Musician)
Vibrant Faya (Musician), Danny Nartey (Musician), Gifty Temeng (Actress) among others.
Celebrity beefs was on the raise it started with Shatta Wale and Samini to Shatta Wale and Criss Kwaku Waddle then to the beef that became topical issue.
Most celebrities counted their blessing and named it one after the other, most of the stars either got married, gave birth to a child or bought an expensive car or mansion.
Let me detail you about the happenings in the year under review.
We started the year with the indecent exposure case laid on rapper, Eugene Ashe well known as Wisa Greid. The news broke on December 25, 2015 that, Wisa Greid whiles performing at Citi FM's annual event ' Decemba 2 Rememba' show on December 24, 2015 showcased his manhood when dancing with his female dancer, he was bashed on social media and sent to court and as I write the case in pending in court. Just as the case was fading out dancehall king„ Shatta Wale and High Grade Family Boss, Samini exchanged diss in a couple of songs that attracted attention in the showbiz industry.
On February 5th this year veteran comedian Nkomode kicked the bucket a dead that many thought was an internet hoax, in about a month his fellow comedian Bob Okala shocked Ghanaians as he fell on stage whilst performing at Joy Daddy's event in Koforidua
and was rushed to the Koforidua Govt hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) was surrounded with controversies after Elom Adablah, known well as EL was adjourned as the artiste of the year.
This raised eyebrows, because some entertainment critics and music lovers thought EL doesn’t deserve the artiste
of the year award but rather Bisa Kdei deserved it due to his revival of the highlife music in the country.
Not withstanding that,  Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Bisa Kdei, Kofi Kinaata and many others have been able to badge some plagues to their credit.

Game of flows. I'm I permitted to use the word the battle of supremacy here? Well, heads rolled as lyrical war between Sarkodie and M.anifest. 'RNS' hit maker released a track titled
‘Bossy’ which featured music producerJayso. In a verse of the song Sarkodie made reference to M.anifest’s rap signature. ' dodododo ti do'
M.anifest misconstrued Sarkodie’s line in his song as, teasing him as he ended the
track with a line attributed to him.
M.anifest replied Sarkodie
with a diss track titled, ‘god mc’. barely 48 hours after the released of ‘god mc’, Sarkodie also did a counter track titled ‘kanta’ as a direct response to
M.anifest.

Sarkodie's counter song #Kanta became number one trend on micro blogging software Twitter,  lovers of music and fellow musicians called for cease fire due to punchlines in Sarkodie's that generated so much controversy that, it nearly attracted a court case due to Sarkodie mistakenly demeaned the brand of Ghana Textiles Printing (GTP).
Comedian, singer and actor, Ohene Oduro Boateng widely known as Funny Face divorced his wife Elisabeth Adjoa Ntim the "Cow & Chicken" movie star said, he broke up with his wife because she was cheating on him.
Screen goddess, Nana Ama McBrown wed her long time boyfriend Maxwell Mensah in a private ceremony in Accra. Emmanuel Botchwey, Kwaw Kese to be precise tied the knot to his better half and they gave birth this year. African's 'rap god' Sarkodie gave birth out of marriage to a baby girl he named 'Titi' and also Miss Ghana 2012 winner and Miss World 2013  3rd winner up, Naa Okailey Shooter was married to CEO of Edern Security Paul Eddy Quartey.
The historic and precedented celebrity endorsement of political parties in this year. Many big wings threw their heavy weight on the two political parties renowned among are Elikem the trailor, Mr. Beautiful ,John Dumelo,
Mzbel, Bull Dog and many others endorsed the NDC. Ruff & Smooth, A-Plus,  Daddy Lumba, Maltida Asare Agya Koo also endorsed the NPP.
Wanlov Da Kubolor expressed with shock why on earth MTV Base Africa D Black's was among the "10 Hottest GH MCs"  according to him D Black's rap is 'wack'. D Black  later also responded with a freestyle diss titled ‘The List’ which set social media ablaze after few minutes of its
release.

Rapperholic Concert, Decemba 2 Rememba,  Hajia 4LifeParty, Shatta Wale's after the storm album, Ghana Meets Naija, Joy FM Old Skull Union, Fancy Gadam Peace Concert among others were lit.
Shatta Wale released 109 songs in the year, Guru was more invisible than any artiste when it come to number of shows he played. Sarkodie put up a beast performance @ the Rapperholic Concert.

As far as, we can't do without music the following songs made our year.
Begye steer no by Kofi Kinaata, You & I by Joey B, Mahama by Shatta Wale, Rich Nigga Shit and Choices (E40 cover) by Sarkodie, Onaapo by Dee Aje,  Yɛwɔ Krom by Atom, Awoa by Pappy Kojo and many others were all over the place.
Looking forward to see the showbiz industry producing more great talents and putting Ghana on the map.
