'Mahama Paper' Song Was Not A Praise To Mahama - Shatta Wale [ READ WHY HE SANG IT]

'Chop Kiss' hitmaker Shatta Wale has cleared the air on his controversial
song, “Mahama Paper”, which most people believe
is a campaign song for the ruling New Democratic
Congress (NDC).
Shatta Wale told BBC’s Akwasi Sarpong, the
controversial Dancehall act revealed that his “Mahama
Paper” song was not released as a praise to the
President of Ghana, John
Mahama.

The 'WMT' hitmaker, stressed the rational
behind the song was that he was watching
television when President Mahama’s missing
speech saga occurred.
John Mahama, in his position as the former
chairman of the ECOWAS, shocked the gathering of
West African government heads when he
announced that some pages were missing from his
speech.

“Where is my speech…I am missing certain pages
in my speech…,”
he said.

Shatta Wale noted he didn’t do the song
out of any political reason though he was inspired by
 Mahama’s missing speech saga.

“I didn’t do that song for a political purpose, I
wrote it out of love. I didn’t do it because of my
President. One day I was watching TV and the
president was speaking at the Conference Center
and he was like ‘where is my page 13, I can’t find
it,’ and I was like Mahama too why, where is his
speech.”
